About Kathryn Roman

Background:

Kathryn Roman joins RMR Legal and the legal profession with a diverse and accomplished background. Her professional experience spans several fields, including the music business in New York City, leadership in the nonprofit sector, and over 22 years as an innovative and award-winning educator in the public-school systems of Florida and Tennessee.


Kathryn began her career in the music industry, helping to manage the careers of some of the world’s most renowned artists in classical, jazz, and big band music, gaining valuable experience in leadership, collaboration, and creative enterprise. Next, as the vice president of a nonprofit ministry, she traveled throughout the United States to churches and prisons, sharing messages of hope and purpose while building bridges across communities. During this time, Kathryn expertly managed all administrative and operational facets of the organization, including scheduling, bookkeeping, and comprehensive business oversight. Later, by teaching in both the Overtown community of Miami, Florida, and in Cleveland, Tennessee, Kathryn worked (and continues to work) to inspire and uplift students from a wide range of backgrounds.


These experiences reflect a lifelong commitment to meaningful service and have fostered the analytical rigor, composure, and sense of justice that make Kathryn a capable and principled lawyer.


Education:

Kathryn graduated from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY with a Bachelor of Music and a Business Minor. She later received her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN while working full-time as an educator.


Kathryn is admitted to practice law in both Minnesota and Tennessee.
