About Roy Michael Roman
Roy Michael Roman is the Owner and Managing Partner of RMR Legal PLLC. Roy Michael is a proud Bradley County native and was born and raised in the greatest hometown in America, Cleveland, Tennessee. 
Roy Michael departed from Cleveland to attend the University of Pennsylvania, a prestigious Ivy League undergraduate institution, where he studied Philosophy, Politics, & Economics in both the School of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School of Business. After graduation, Roy Michael went straight into law school at Duke University School of Law, one of the nation's top law schools.
Starting at Tennessee Christian Preparatory School, Roy Michael is a proud graduate of both the County and City School Systems attending North Lee Elementary, Cleveland Middle School, and Cleveland High School.
Now, Roy Michael is considerably involved in various forms of volunteer and civic engagement. He serves as a member of the following organizations: Rotary Club of Cleveland, United Way Young Professionals Circle, Keep Cleveland and Bradley County Beautiful, Mainstreet of Cleveland, Elks Lodge, Historic Cleveland Neighborhood Association, Friends of the Library Association, and the Bradley County Bar Association.

- Aearo Technologies LLC — Representation of Aearo Technologies LLC and its debtor affiliates in their Chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Aearo Technologies is a market leader in the energy control space, providing custom noise, vibration, thermal, and shock protection solutions to the aerospace, commercial vehicle, heavy equipment, and electronics industries. Aearo Technologies and its non-Debtor parent 3M are defendants in the largest multi-district litigation in history, with over 230,000 personal injury claims filed related to certain historical Aearo products.
- Celsius Network LLC — Representation of Celsius Network LLC and its affiliates in their Chapter 11 cases filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Celsius is one of the largest and most sophisticated cryptocurrency-based finance platforms in the world and provides financial services to institutional, corporate, and retail clients across more than 100 countries.
- Yellow Corporation — Representing Yellow Corporation and certain of its subsidiaries (“Yellow”) in their Chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. With its family of brands, including YRC, Reddaway, Holland, and Yellow Logistics, Yellow was a storied trucking and logistics company with a 100-year history and one of the largest less-than-truckload networks in North America. Yellow entered Chapter 11 with approximately $1.2 billion in prepetition funded debt. Yellow secured a $1.525 billion stalking horse bidder for its owned real estate assets and, through its Chapter 11 cases, will conduct a marketing and sale process for some or all of its real estate and rolling stock assets, followed by an orderly liquidation of any remaining assets.
- Genesis Care Pty Ltd ― Representation of Genesis Care Pty Ltd and its affiliates in their Chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. GenesisCare is a leading cancer care provider, offering personalized and accessible treatment across a network of highly-skilled healthcare professionals to patients globally. GenesisCare is one of the world’s largest integrated oncology organizations and the world’s largest provider of radiotherapy, operating more than 400 cancer centers in the U.S., Australia, Spain and the UK which treat more than 450,000 patients annually. As of its Chapter 11 filing, GenesisCare’s funded debt totaled approximately $1.7 billion, including approximately $1.55 billion in secured term loan indebtedness. GenesisCare commenced its Chapter 11 cases to obtain access to debtor-in-possession financing, to conduct a marketing and sale process for its U.S. assets, and to restructure its financial obligations.
- Invitae Corporation ― Representing Invitae Corporation and certain of its affiliates in their prearranged chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. Invitae is headquartered in San Francisco, California and is a leader in the genetic testing field. Prior to commencing chapter 11, Invitae secured support to implement a go-forward sale process by signing a transaction support agreement with a significant majority of its secured noteholders. Invitae is a publicly traded company and listed approximately $1.5 billion in funded debt obligations as of the petition date.
- Lincoln Power, L.L.C. — Representation of Investec Bank plc, as administrative agent under a senior secured credit agreement, in negotiating the successful Chapter 11 purchase of substantially all of Lincoln Power, L.L.C.’s assets by Avenue Capital Group in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The purchase included Lincoln’s two gas-fired, power-generation facilities in Illinois that can produce up to 810 MW of energy.
